A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Berlin High School library beginning at 6:30 a.m. Present for the meeting were Mitch Couture, Martha Laflamme, Nicole Plourde, Nathan Morin, John Moulis, and Marion Y. Huntley.
WARRANT On a motion by Nicole Plourde, seconded by Nathan Morin, the Board voted to approve the warrant dated June 29, 2009 for the amount of $513,118.21, with the invoice from Sherwin Williams pulled. On a roll call vote, Nicole Plourde, Nathan Morin, and Mitch Couture voted in the affirmative; Martha Laflamme abstained. On a motion by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Nicole Plourde, the Board voted to approve the Sherwin Williams invoice as presented in the warrant. On a roll call vote, Nicole Plourde, Martha Laflamme, and Nathan Morin voted in the affirmative; Mitch Couture abstained.
BOILER DISCUSSION The administration will review the options presented and will then make a recommendation to the Board at a later date.
CALENDAR The Board approved the schedule of Board meetings for the 2009-2010 year as presented in their packet with the exception of changing the meeting time for the July 8, 2009 meeting from noon to 6:30 a.m.
ADJOURN On a motion by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Nicole Plourde, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 7:40 a.m. The motion passed unanimously.
